In Risoul there is bobsleigh called Mr Luge Devale, which can achieve a top speed of 30 km/h!
For children
Children do not need to be bored, because there is plenty to do. Animal lovers can take a walk between the Marmots, which is just a 5-minute drive away. In search of cooling, there are several locations where you can swim: the swimming pool in Guillestre, two small, cosy lakes at Eyglier and La Roche de Rame and a huge lake called Lac de Serre-Ponçon, where many different watersports can be practised. In the beautiful valley of D'Ecreins are hikes specially developped for kids. Activities for children above ten years are: doing via ferrata's and hiking to the breathtaking 'Glacier Blanc'. In winter children can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, ziplining or bobsleigh at the Risoul ski resort.
Via Ferrata
If you like doing via ferrata's you have come to right place. With around 30 routes to in de Haute Alpes there are countless routes to chose from.
Water sports
Rafting, kayaking, stand up padling, wakeboarding, waterskiing are all possible at 'Lac de Serre-Ponçon'.
Zipline
There are not many places were you can do a 700 m long Zipline.
Skiing and snowboarding
At only 11 km you can find La Foret Blanche (185km piste). In front of the chalet there is a free shuttle that leaves frequently (in high season every 15 minutes) to Risoul 1850.
Val d'Escreins
Accessible through a small, scenic road at only 13km from the chalet you can find the beautiful valley of d'Ecreins.
Iceskating
Located in Risoul, there is a completely ecofriendly iceskating rink of 750m ². An artificial part is combined with 400m ² of natural skating rink.
